NC Zoo

The North Carolina Zoo used to be a regular-ish day trip for me, my mom, and my sister when my sister and I were young. As we got older it was somewhere we liked to go with our friends on the weekends, and now it has turned into something I enjoy taking my nephews to.

The NC Zoo is mostly split into two zones, North America and Africa. I know that doesn’t sound like a lot but this particular zoo is very spread out, so there is a lot more walking than you might expect if you have never been before.

My two favorite exhibits in this zoo are actually the desert and the aviary buildings. The aviary is full of some of the coolest looking birds and flowers, while the desert is home to things like the sand cats.

When we go we like to do things like take hundreds of pictures and pack a lunch to eat out at the car halfway through the day.
